Viable Seed

During Covid I was introduced to a medicinal that has been used in Ayurveda and Chinese medicine for millennia to treat stomach and lung ailments. Today, its commercial value has exploded as a topical ingredient in many skin rejuvenation formulas, often the most exclusive.

Its raw resin form has been used for centuries to support prayer and meditation. It is mildly psychoactive when inhaled.

In 2020 a friend offered three drops of this precious essential oil into my Covid Mask and as I deeply inhaled I felt my lungs open, stomach relax - it soothed my mind.

I immediately included it in all my sessions!

But when I understood that this plant is now so aggressively overharvested to meet commercial demand that less than 10 % of seed can be germinated, I made my mission to create a Sacred Seed Sanctuary.

The Sacred Seed Sanctuary is a project that connects people experientially to endangered medicinal plants. A small demonstration forest welcomes people to see touch and learn about these precious plants in their living state. Immersed in this natural environment stands a traditional Hawaiian healing hale.

Bodywork, breathwork and meditation experiences are offered to help people access, organize and activate the capacity to heal themselves with these medicinals' timeless, unconditional support.

The medicinal at the foundation of this seed to spa project is Boswellia.
